            <description>VT iDirect Inc. (iDirect), a company of VT Systems Inc (VT Systems), has announced that Gateway Communications, the largest independent provider of carrier and business network solutions in Africa, will implement a pan-African DVB-S2/ACM satellite network built on iDirect’s Evolution platform. Through the deal, Gateway Communications has purchased an additional three iDirect Universal Satellite Hubs to meet the growing demand for satellite communications in Africa. iDirect is a major player in satellite-based IP communications technology.</description>

            <title>Alcatel-Lucent selected by EMTS to deploy a turnkey mobile cellular network in Nigeria</title>

            <description>Alcatel-Lucent today announced that Nigeria's Emerging Market Telecom Services Ltd (EMTS), a subsidiary of M/s Etisalat Telecommunication Corporation and M/s Mubadala Development Company, has awarded Alcatel-Lucent a multi-million Euro contract for the deployment of its new mobile cellular network in the country on a turnkey basis. Alcatel-Lucent will also provide network deployment and integration services, as well as related infrastructure such as towers, masts and power systems. The contract was secured through Alcatel-Lucent’s flagship company in China, Alcatel Shanghai Bell.</description>
