Google becomes evil, uses Penguin update to increase ad revenue

Google’s informal corporate logo is “Don’t be evil” but the company has apparently gone evil after introduction of its “Penguin” update. According to Google’s recent financial reports, its advertising revenue has increased to 42% which analysts believe is because of Google’s Penguin update which undermines organic search results and promotes paid advertising results. This can lead to increase in paid results instead of genuine quality organic results which will definitely compromise Google’s search quality.

Google’s recent introduction of Penguin and Panda update has effected so many websites badly as their search engine rankings dropped. Because Google has changed its algorithm without revealing much about it, it has damaged businesses globally and now Search Engine Optimization (SEO) professionals are trying to cope up with this situation. Some SEO experts criticize Google for being greedy and claim that Google introduced Penguin update to get unfair benefit out of advertising revenue.
